Viticoltori Fruilani La Delizia S.c.a.” winery is a major wine-making enterprise on the territory of Friuli Venezia Giulia. And it is also one of the major wine-making realia in Northern Italy.

This cooperative was established in 1931 in Casarsa della Delizia (Pordenone province). And today they harvest 25 000 tons of grapes annually. Viticoltori Fruilani La Delizia S.c.a.” cooperative is situated in the area ideal for viticulture. It deals with growing, harvesting and treatment of grapes, which belong to the cooperative members. The combination of special soil, which consists of clay and pebble, and extraordinary fertile climate (the territory is covered by mountains from one side and affected by the sea from another side) allows producing wine with bright character and individuality.The center of harvesting, vinification, ageing and bottling is situated in the heart of “Friuli Grave Prosecco” zone, which represents a centuries-old history of viticulture tradition. Cooperative members’ vineyards are carefully looked after by cooperative technically qualified employees.

Cooperative members get guided technical help on different cultivation phases, starting from sprouts selection to their planting and also on all further steps of production cycle. Technical support is provided every year during the phase of watering and vegetative phase of the vine up to its ripening. Constant control of different subvarieties growth is fulfilled. It is useful for directions definition during the harvesting time. After the first harvesting of grapes, the raw material is collected and prepared for further treatment. In the winery the grapes are inspected and selected from the point of view of quality, ripeness and sanitation condition. Every cart full of grapes is inspected real-time by the most effective and technologically advanced equipment. And it reveals its sanitation characteristics such as total acidity, sugar level, Ph, temperature and other parameters.

The whole process of treatment and fermentation occurs in temperature-controlled tanks where the temperature is constantly controlled by a modern cooling device. Proper further treatment framework, up-to-date bottlers, effectively organized logistics and business network allow the cooperative to achieve high production capability and strengthen their presence in national and world market.
